Passover To-go or To-stay! March 29th & 30th

The foods of Passover at PLATES. Chef Karp has prepared a Passover to-go menu to help you "let your people come". As profiled in Westchster Magazine April, it includes his Mom's famous recipe matzoh ball soup and Matzoh Lasagna, a vegetarian dish he discovered during the Milan years!

On Tuesday March 30th, a Passover menu will be available at PLATES for everyone to enjoy. 4 courses: Gefilte Fish, Matzoh Ball Soup, Brisket and Matzoh "Lasagne", Dessert and Macaroons. Saturday "Side Door Fish" at PLATES

The fresh fish, bread, and pulled pork sandwiches you've come to love from the PLATES stand at the Larchmont Farmer's Market will be available every Saturday all winter long at our winter outpost - Side Door Fish at PLATES. Just pull into our parking lot and look for the white tent every Saturday through spring. Side Door Fish will be open from 9 am to 3 pm and will have:

House Smoked Salmon - House Cured Pastrami - Brisket - Fresh Bacon - Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Holland America and Food & Wine Magazine Select Chef Karp as Celebrity Chef

Set Sail To Alaska - Culinary Lessons on the High Seas - August 23 - 30, 2009

Chef Matthew Karp has once again been selected as the Celebrity Chef on board the Holland America Cruise Line MS Veendam for a 8 day/ 7 night cruise to Alaska. Chef Karp will be giving cooking lessons on-board in the ships "Studio Teaching Kitchen", deriving culinary inspiration from ports of call in Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, College Fjord, Juneau and Skagway. A once in a lifetime adventure in this, the 50th anniversary year of Alaska's Statehood and the 5th anniversary of PLATES! This appointment by Holland America again places Chef Karp in the company of some of the finest Chefs in America. Friends of PLATES will be entitled to preferred rates and on-board extras! "Bottomless BBQ" Sundays

Join in every Sunday for Chef Karp's $28 "bottomless BBQ" Sunday with a $10 kids menu for the 10 and unders. Pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and other "smoker specials". You order it, we keep it coming! Pair it with our beers on tap: Magic Hat #9 or Hefeweizen Circus Boy and take a spot on the outdoor patio or inside as you please. Regular menu also available. Dinner service begins at 5pm.

(Your) Wine Wednesdays

No corkage fee for bringing your own wine on Wednesday evenings. An opportunity for collectors (or anyone, really!) to uncork that special bottle in a great room with a superb meal. PLATES will decant, handle, pour and accommodate the needs of the vintage!

Prix Fixe Early Evening Dining at PLATES

It started as a way to celebrate our 3rd birthday, but due to its popularity has become permanent! Any two courses from our prix fixe menu for $30 - appetizer/entrée, entrée/dessert, or even appetizer/dessert if you're so inclined. We open at 5 pm and the offer holds until 7:00 on Sunday through Friday Evenings. A great way to enjoy a PLATE-Date with a price break!
